Forums - Sony Discussion - Sucker Punch's new PS4 game pushing for 'jaw-dropping visuals'

better push for "jaw dropping gameplay" since its a GAME not a PICTURE or MOVIE.

But whatever making "people" believe a product is good by offering great visuals is way easier than making them believe its good because of the gameplay. And making a good game is much harder than making a good looking one anyways so...

I dunno but for whatever reason this just crossed my mind:
The gameplay vs visuals thing is kinda the same as apes and a fake banana printed on a piece of paper VS a banana smothie. The ape "thinks" the piece of paper is the real deal and much better than the smoothie even tho its not.

infamous ss was average gameplay wise. story too.
i loved infamous 1 though. had so much more to offer funwise.

i hate open world when the world is dull and not open at all.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Call me when they're aiming for jaw dropping gameplay.

And we all know how it ends when they make declarations like that.

Jaw prepped and ready for potential droppage. Awaiting further input.

So a job listing for a Senior Character Texture/Look Dev Artist that talks about visuals gets crapped on because it didn't talk about gameplay....SIGH I wonder if people actually read articles now a day or just post before reading....smh

Sigh yet what does your post have to do with the article that is a job listing for a Senior Character Texture/Look Dev Artist you know one of the people that handle the VISUALS of the game. Geez did anyone actually bother to READ the article or just post? My goodness folks lol.

Sigh it just bothers me smh. And besides Sucker Punch has never really made a game with BAD gameplay. Infamous: SS was very good gameplay wise it just lacked substance compared to the first two IMO. But the gameplay was very good.

Of course... graphiczzz

I'm disappointed with their over emphasis on graphics. Sucker Punch should cater more to the cerebral geamer who appreciates games solely based on their mechanics.
