A leak is an announcment... It's still being made public which means it's an annoucement.

Your completely ignoring everything else that seperates them and only focusing on the one thing of making the information public.  That's like someone saying migits and children are the same because they are short and completely ignoring everything else.

Ummm K. That's a terrible analogy and it's not even close to the same. I'm just saying that if we know information about a game it has been announced, at least the portion of the information we know has been. Not necessarily in its entirety, but we still know it's being made and that announcement has been made. If something is unannounced we would not know anything about it. There is the aspect of a leak, but even when taking that into account a leak being made public by someone or publication or the like is an announcement of the leak.

This is just merely a ploy to make people think they know something about something that they shouldn't know about. It's a marketing tool designed to garner interest for the product, or to garner hits to a site or publication.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Now your trying to twist it.  The original point was the game wasn't announced, don't try to change it to well the leak was announced.

Posting a leak online or a place where others can see it is announcing that leak. There is a difference between an official/formal announcement as opposed to just announcing something. Guerilla announced that they are making a game, but there has been no announcement made as to the title or what the game is even about. People can guess though. But that then makes the game announced just not all the specifics about it.

Nothing is announced, though. Guerilla never made a declaration or notification about Horizon. That was leaked by someone else without Sony's permission. Leak =/= Announcement

Okay, so the leak has been announced then. So it's far from a formal announcment then.

Do you honestly think that this much information is constantly leaked by all the large companies all the time? It's likely done intentionally to garner interest.

But if this is the scenario and it isn't intentional, then Guerilla has not made the announcement, however the publication that posted the leak did.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Therefore, it's a leak not an announcement.

Tell me when you find a definition where a leak is a type of announcement.

I'm not. My point is that we would NOT KNOW that Guerilla is making a game if it were really unannounced. So the basis of this idea is flawed.

No need, they are different. However, a publication posted the leak, so it is now announced. If it weren't announced we would know know any information about it. It would only be theory and unsubstantiated guessing.

It would be if leaks didn't exist...Multiple people have told you your wrong but you refuse to listen so its obvious I'm wasting my time.

Either stop with this pedantic nonsense or at the very least just admit that your view is fixed despite the weight of contrary evidence.

  Get back ot.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

Surely this has derailed the thread long enough?

I'll add that I hope Sony announces a new Sly Cooper game, I think Sanzaru & Sucker Punch have both said they aren't working on one, but with a movie coming out in theaters next year it seems like the perfect time to bring a new game out to tie in with that.
Maybe Sony Japan or London could be working on one.

What's everyone think?
