a 100$ cut will wreck XB1 & Wii U, unless they follow suit.
I think a 50$ cut more likely though.

I hope its a 100$ cut... 299$ Ps4.... would buy.

I hope the aggressiveness of MS will cause a ballsy move on Sony's part. Cut it by $100!! Do it!! For the gamers!!

In the UK there was an ad saying that the price had been dropped to £299 at certain retailers for a limited time. So i think they are testing the waters to see what additional uptake there is. I do think a price cut is coming though.

Was that all models, or specific SKU's?  Could be they're just trying to get rid of a certain bundle(s) to make room for new ones/different iterations etc..?

Id be careful in having a feeling of expectation that a price cut will occur this year; one might develop a feeling of entitlement and be disappointing later on because it didn't happen. Just because Sony did a price cut on the ps2 (-$100) two year after it released does not equate that it will happen again.

Edited: The PS3 got a price-cut a year after release like the PS1, while the PS2 got it two years after. My mistake, on this. I neglected the first 2007 price reduction of the PS3 7 months after it's launch. (Those were desperate times for Sony.)

It rumors are true about 2K teaming with Joe Montana and MS securing the rights to the NFL license to release an exclusive Madden killer, I'm not so PS4 will run away with it. The megton of something like that in the US can't be ignored.
