Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony reported earning last night...(and they hit it out the park)

Even though Sony doesn't officially report earnings until april 30th, the current  and upcoming quarters is so good, they really could not wait.

Highlights:

200 Billion Yen more in revenue (8.2 Trillion from 8 Trillion)

Net loss improvement by 50 billion Yen (126B from 170B original was over 200)

More information coming April 30th.  Probably the best quarter (even with the loss) Ive seen in quite a long time.  Good times ahead.

Looks like they're keeping up a nice cash flow.

Now pour more of it into PlayStation!

Great news!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Good to hear.

Just ok to hear.

All they have to do is get the Xperia line in order and their company will be well on there way to consistant success.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

Thank gawd!

Weird how their success as a company is coincidentally running parallel to their success with ps4 >.>

Really glad hearing these news. Maybe this doesn't mean they'll get out of red numbers right now, but it does mean they're in less danger than before.

Anyway, keep it up, Sony.

A big step in the right direction.
