I thought there were some hilarious lines throughout the movie though lol. Like when Quicksilver ran off with his sister past Hawkeye near the end.

"Nobody would know....Nobody...Last time I saw him, Ultron was sitting on him. I'm gonna miss him..Miss that lil bastard already.."

That to me the funniest moment because it felt natural instead of a quick one liner out of place in the context like most of the 'laughs'.

In the comics, Black Panther gives Steve Rogers a new shield made of vibranium when he relinquishes his original shield and the title of Captain America. None of that happened in the film.

In the comics, Age of Ultron involved Wolverine going back in time twice to stop Ultron from ruling the future. Things will change, we know that, I would just like certain things (like who created who) to remain consistant so it didn't feel like something different, so far lack of mutants is making it so however (for me in my fanboy ways).

Whedon is basically a God as far as I'm concerned.

Makes me sad how much praise this guy gets sometimes.

Hmm, pie.

Spoiler--Captain America is worthy of lifting Thor's hammer. He just pretended he couldn't.

Now, you know.

Article on Whedon and Marvel falling out.

Main point is Whedon really wanted the farm scenes and Marvel really wanted the Thor cave scenes leading to back and forth.

I like Whedon, but I understand getting burned out on massive films like this. Hope Cap 2 guys do Avengers 3 justice.

In my opinion Captain America The Winter Soldier is best movie in the MCU, so I'm confident the Russo brothers will deliver for Avengers 3.

I can agree with that. While I personally love Guardians of the Galaxy, Winter Soldier was an amazing film.

The challenge with Avngers films is the sheer scale of the cast.  I hope Infinity War is a 7 hour epic broken into 2, 3.5 hour parts, as we could see Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, the Guardians, Ant-Man, Black Panther and other added to an already massive cast.

I couldn't resist and read the thread! I'm a weak, weak man. At least I won't walk in with unrealistic expectations. Just answer this: Does an Avenger die?

A yes or no will suffice.

You want to be spoiled? I feel bad answering this but:

I'm not telling. MWUHAhahahhahaha

Finally came back to read that spoiler.

You are a good man.  The whole time, ever since the first trailer, I expected Hawkeye (when I was a kid, I pronounced it "Hawkee" like "Hockey") up until the very end.....when it was somebody else.

As a fan, that was a nice little reference. The fact he couldn't in the MCU means that there's soemthing wrong with Cap's character. :P

As a spoiler-phob, I didn't watch any trailers, didn't even know 'he should be in an Ultron story' wasn't in it until I watched it.

Hope you enjoyed the film.

I will happily admit to not liking Whedon, I think he's a hack most the time. His X-men was awful and cliched beyond comprehension, his Runaways was an insult and delayed hugely and his 'special ending' to Civil War was awful. What frustrates me more is people worship the guy...

Reading this is very telling I think. To be honest I don't know what he expected, Spider-man, they said no but it wasn't like Marvel had any choice with the Spider-man one, that was part of contract and only early this year did Sony give in. Can't say on the Cap M thing, not sure how she'd fit in with the movie, yet he wanted Cap M but wasn't willing to fit in Hank Pym? Weird.

Anyway, the cave scene was needed, I thought it was fine. They were right, you can't just have him disappeared and then later return having done things and just tell them what he saw, it's not a book or comic, you need to show the audience what is going on. Yet it would have been great to see Loki in the visions or the extension of Quicksilver's scenes would have given his character more substance.

Hmm, pie.

Looks like Whedon was being a brat.
