Are those the average Japanese indie games? If so then the average Japanese indie game looks way better than the average western indie game which still can't get over their fetish for pseudo 8 bit and pixel art.

I feel like we've been seeing a lot of Japanese related announcements for the PS4 recently.

Anyway, a couple of those look surprisingly high budget for indie titles (though i don't know if 'indie' has the same connotation in Japan as it does in the west). Well, except TorqueL. I'm not really sure what to make of that one :p

The 8-bit fetish is not the only problem with western indie games. Some indie developers abuse Steam's Early Access and basically make nothing more than a cut-and-paste jobs of Unity assets.

Good looking indies for once, gotta hand it to jp.

Wow some of those actually look like games with a decent budget and teams behind it. I might even pick them up at some point. My PS4 is starting to look more and more like a hub to play some amazing Japanese games and I couldn't be happier.

Curious about number 3 and how it plays, looks impressive for a low budget title.

It's out on PC. It's an alright game, but not a lot of content. Would only recommend if you really like hack and slash or interested in challenging yourself through juggling and combo counters.

I do like hack and slash, curious what price point will be.
