Does anyone have any information about the length of the main story / number of chapters? I'm hearing a number of conflicting reports.

can't wait for this game. and I know others are also waiting for this game.

I also don't know how long would the story be and how many side quests are within this game. i've heard there is a DLC? but need to check what on with the DLC.

plus the use of skells, since I like the Gundam anime series, would love robots in the game like XCX.

Story looks to be quite a bit shorter than XC...but, there's numerous more in-dept sidequests so it balances out. The joy comes from exploring the huge overworld and forging your own path, really. At least from the videos.

As for DLC, there is some and it includes new characters with their own special sidequest chains. Not sure if that is coming over though.

maybe a Shulk character DLC or even heropon Riki would be nice addition.

Does anyone have information about music implementation into XenoX? Can I choose track for Doll's exploration? It would be pretty cool to flying around Mira with "Over the rainbow", "Key's we've lost" and others in the background.

Well "Don't Worry" (the song with "over the rainbow" in it) is the Skell flying theme. So it plays when you fly.

Also, the DLC is coming to the west for free for those who may not know.
