There are some scores on Metacritic.

Only one so far from XGN

I just saw 15 reviews for a Metascore of 84. But now it says 8 reviews again.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

84

Nailed the score so far

One thing I seem to notice is how every review is praising the graphics of it. Seems some people on this site need to go read some of these, lol.

Now it's an 83. One point less and I'll be right.

This is one game where the scores will vary so greatly. Either you hate exploration and big worlds, or you just want something more simple. If the reviewers played the original Xenoblade, then the scores will most likely be higher.

Good scores, great game.

Those reviewers giving it a 7 are complaining about how complex it is.... Filthy casuals!

But seriously, GamesRadar+ writes ''figuring out how everything fits together isn't always easy''. Not every game needs to be made more accessible and streamlined like Bethesda has been doing (not hating on them btw). When you create a game this deep and vast of course it's going to take time adapting to it.

The game seems to be quite complicated so that'll also affect reviews.

Looking at the Gamereactor review, all the various sites said 10 except Gamereactor Germany who said 9. I wonder how many Metacritic will factor in separately. Also, Eurogamer does provide a score for Metacritic, iirc, even though they don't display it on sight. The review points to 10 as well.

I wonder how many of the Gamereactor 10s will count on metacritic.

Back to 84!It needs to go higher dammit!

Even thought it should be expected, im a bit dissapointed with the scores people are giving. This game is a masterpiece, but since many of its elements is a love or hate it(the soundtrack, the off the hands desing choice(in which you discover much by yourself)), I was still expecting people to be less bitchy about it.Well, hope the next reviews are higher.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
