Yeah, I'm expecting 85ish, for a few reasons:

a) Higher levels of expectation after Xenoblade Chronicles' highly positive reception.
b) A handful of reviewers will make negative comparisons to other open-world games launched this year. I'm particularly expecting complaints of "It's not all narrative driven the way Witcher 3 is"
c) The story/soundtrack will be seen as inferior to XC.
d) There will be complaints about how overwhelming the game initially is, and about the lack of handholding.
e) At least one reviewer will hate the battle system.

That being said, I'd love to be wrong and see this get a better reception than Xenoblade Chronicles! My pre-order is sticking regardless.

I'm predicting 89-90.

It has a chance to reach 90+ but I expect it to fall just short at 88, considering we have already received 2 major open world RPGs this year with Fallout and the Witcher which might decrease the hype for a huge open world a little.

On the other hand, it is the first big JRPG (though its really more of a hybrid between J and western RPGs) in quite some time I think so that might help.

Regardless of the exact score, the game will be great and I'm buying it.

I heard somewhere that a review gave the game 7/10, but was taken down. Does anyone know any more about this?

Not sure if it's because of the embargo or because it made false claims about the game.

I'm thinking it will settle around 82. A good score, but I think some reviews will be harsh. I know I'm going to love it, so oh well.
