Well Game and Watch has done alot of stuff and uses alot of those powers from the different games. WiiFit Trainer has the moves from the workout routines and Duck Hunt is a dog that laughs in the face of a person holding a gun.

Toad has nothing. Theres Captain Toad, but I dont think a heavy backpack that makes you more useless would do much. Like I said it would be like a Goomba.

Actually a Goomba would be better because they at least have shown some moves in the Paper Mario games...

? What are you talking about? Toad has rolled with Mario and Luigi in the NSMB series. He also has been in everything from a Kart to riding an asteroid. He has also been in the game since 1985 and in the games he has been involved in he is either the fastest, or the strongest among mario's gang. Besides he has a pickaxe that could be very deadly and he could use the helicopter hat as his second jump.  The NSMB powerups would be plenty for his abilities.

His pickaxe are just the hammer power up. In best case scenario he would be a Mario clone...

I got faith in Nintendo. They'll turn him into something good. I wouldn't be shocked if they give him a unique set that is completely different. Then make Toadette as a clone with slightly different abilities.

Thats what Im talking about though. They are giving fans a blank slate to name any character and they go for stuff like the 20th Mario character.

Arent you more curious to see non Nintendo characters? Some that would actually stand out. Like Snake did. 

Simon Belmont would be cool. Maybe Lara Croft? Or how about Earthworm Jim? Hell lets go nuts and nominate Duke Nukem

Nope I'm not interested in another 3rd party character unless its Bayonetta. Because they have to work out deals with 3rd party publishers and there is no guarantee they will be able to bring those guys back. Instead Nintendo will end up getting flooded with requests for characters that Nintendo has no control over. I'd rather have it be a Nintendo character that they can bring back.

Why not an indie character? Indies are more than willing to license their characters (even for free) if that means getting the inherent exposure of the Smash games. Vote Shantae!

Well it would make that game more unique...

 

I dont know. Im not a big Smash fan anyway. I just enjoy seeing very different characters in the same game.

I went ahead and voted for Earthworm Jim. Cant believe I forgot about him. He would be perfect for Smash!

Seeing how a week or month of this would have given them the data they needed and they are running this through October they may be getting more than one of two characters to decide to put in the game after this is over. I think they may announce at least one of the picks we may have picked at E3 to show that what they are doing is good for everyone.

They might show the three most popular Nintendo characters that were voted for and give us those three, but that's already unlikely. What's even more unlikely is them showing the actual list which has a lot of non-Nintendo characters in it. Why would they show that some non-Nintendo characters are more popular than some Nintendo characters? Anyways, I'm still rooting for Professor "don't pull my finger" Layton. Wait a minute, that reminds me of a puzzle!

Sorry... No puzzle... Just gas XD
