They have won every generation with PC.

Seriously though i still have some hope for them, if they were to join forces woth Nintendo someway that is. Alone they have no chance.

I doubt they will. The fact is their heart and full creativity were never really in Xbox, and they were never a very creative company.

Xbox was created to "Stop Sony from dominating the Living Room." In effect it was always just another MS program that leeches off of an established market. As long as they look at this way they will never be a market leader.

Dunno. But if things between them an Sony really heat up, I'd put my money on them. Sony is a corporation like any other, and they're capable of not pulling any punches all the same, but I think Microsoft has it in them to be a lot more shameless in its tactics.
Perhaps they think that both they and their rivals can benefit somewhat from the prevalence of third party developers and their preference of multiplatform releases. So it's hard to say if they ever will step up their efforts to outperform Sony.
At the moment it's just a bit of a pointless arms race. More about parity than superiority.

I'm just tired of the console war. Games are for all, and I never want to find I can't play this or that game because I own the wrong system. There should never be a wrong system! It's especially frustrating when the PS4 and XboxOne have identical functionality and increasingly similar software!

Is this a joke?   The original Xbox was ok but its controller was WAY too big and it was the size of a full desktop.  The 360 was a piece of loud and unreliable junk until the slim released, and the Xbox One is just ok again.

Can you elaborate? Cause I just don't see how that's true.

In terms of overall software sales, the Xbox 360 was the winner for the last generation.

The seventh generation was in my opinion the best generation.

The Wii brought in many people who were not traditional gamers
The PS3 helped push blu ray
The Xbox 360 pushed the boundaries online for consoles
All had great games

Xbox is the most handicap brand ever.  Other consoles would be required to actually be in second place.

They had their chance last gen but the Wii caught on fire, nothing that could've really been predicted.

But no, Sony's (counting this gen because come on, we all know they've won already) won 3 out for 4 gens and got arguably second place in last gen. Playstation is difficult to stop even if they have a disaster they can still overcome odds.

They have a chance if we're Talking globally in the US!

Otherwise, nope. Not a chance.
