yeah now my feelings are hurt. somebody moderate this guy

by the way it would've been nice if you could actually try and make sense of your statement, it would've been fun.

I don't need to, I'm not biased, the 360 was the most popular of the two last gen. I'm not getting into a debate with an obvious Sony guy.

now i'm being discriminated against, this is ridiculous

What in the F

No, though it was more popular in the early years then it was not.  Sure is not the more popular 7th gen console right now.  PS3 sold more, by any metric.  Especialy when you consider many a millions of 360 were replacements.

360 lost the race, but they were winning early on if that mean all that much to you.

Xbox: 2nd out of 3

Xbox 360: 2nd out of 3

ONE: 2nd out of 3.

Consistent.

*Facepalm* Not this again. You have no idea who finished 2nd or 3rd last gen between the 360 and PS3 so stop spreading FUD that the 360 finished second. Until the official numbers are released it is too close to call.

Are you serious? PS3 came in 2nd & 360 came in 3rd behind Wii.

That depends what you mean buy winnng. Winning can mean alot of things. Selling the most hardware, selling the most software, earning the most money, having the most support etc
Last gen the 360 beat the PS3 in almost all categories and now they both sit neck and neck on hardware sales.

Hardware sales alone can be very misleading. For example, how many PS3s were sold solely for Blu Ray players? How many of the same people re brought the same console more then once? Ie Slim models, I can safely say the 360 wasnt brought as a Blu Ray player. Also hardware sales can depend on special store sales and bundles etc. This is why I don't take hardware sales seriously.

Honestly Microsoft should focus on retaking the PC market. Steam needs a challenger, and it's even running on Microsoft's own OS. It's insane to think how much money Windows is losing out on to Steam.

From where Sony was coming from the PS2 sales wise, I absolutely think Microsoft won the last generation between the two. You see they took such a huge piece of the Sony's market share, an unheard of amount.

All that for nothing though, considering how they completely botched the XB1 reveal and all that.

I wouldn't be surprised to see MS try to end this generation early again to get out ahead

The market is too crowded for 2 similar consoles. One of them has to become the lesser of the two. But last gen was as close as hell between the 2. I mean, 360 and PS3 were dukin' it out. It was amazing if I might say so myself. Microsoft would have to do something even more radical than their $50 price cut. What that is? I don't know. But Halo 5 arrives soon, it'll sell tons of ones. You never know. But PS has it in the bag I'm sure of it. It's enjoying the JRPGS, the FPS, the...everything except for Nintendo stuff.

I'm sure i'm gonna be misquoted again, but no. The Xbox is only popular on the US. To win the global market, you need to win in at least 2 regions. The xbox brand is not seen in the same light in europe and asia, so it would require massive blunders from Sony and Nintendo.

I didn't think Sony had a shot at being in first with the PS4, so I think anything can happen. Yeah sure MS could be in first some gen.
