Forums - Gaming Discussion - Project Cars Has 110 Courses, 30 Locations at Launch

Realistic racing game Project Cars will have 110 courses and 30 locations at launch, developer Slightly Mad Studios has announced.

The courses and locations are based on real tracks from around the world, including famous spots like Nürburgring in Germany, Zhuhai International Circuit in China, Chesterfield in the United Kingdom, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.

Most locations will have multiple layouts for different types of races, which is how Project Cars reaches the impressive 110 courses mark. The California State Route 1, for example, has five different configurations.

You can find the full list of courses and locations on Project Cars' website.

Following a succession of delays to the project on at least three occasions, the racing sim is now due to ship in the Americas on PCPlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Friday May 6. The UK market will get the game on May 8.

Developer Slightly Mad Studios has plans to ship a version on Wii U, but details on the release date for this remain vague.

Good number.

More courses than cars? Well, that's original...

I think there will be around 70 cars at launch, according to a recent statement.

They'll add more cars later though, most are said to be free DLC!

Still a pretty small car list for a racing simulator.

That's a pretty good track list, especially for a first-time entry in this series. Plenty of variety for championships.

That's a good effort. This might reignite my interest for the Wii U version (if it's not canned)

Not sure why people keep saying it's cancelled when it's on the official site with a poll including a Wii U limited addition, asking which version you will be buying.

and read the comments on the poll. Most people are commenting about the Wii U strangely enough.

Looking forward to it! I'm more interested in the WiiU and PC versions though. I'll get WiiU version first, and if I like the gameplay I'll get the PC version for VR

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Not a big number but a good selection of cars (Rote Sau, yeah), a really good number and great selection of tracks. I'm fine with that.
