Around the Network

I have to state I have not seen much of the older doctors. I was introduced by the 9th Doctor and gone back and watched handful of old episodes.

I am bad at episode name, but the 10th doctor was on a tour of a dead planet when something terrorizes the crew and gets into the mind of a passenger and nearly convinces them to kill the doctor.

It was a self contained episode and made great use of low budget with a great and terrifying sci-fi concept. Never has mimicking been so disconcerting.

Silence in the library/forest of the dead
And blink

Probably "The Girl in the Fireplace". It felt like a really interesting use of a historic setting which melded perfectly into the Doctor Who universe, while being extremely interesting storywise.

BLINK

No doubts about it.

I also loved Vincent and the Doctor.

Midnight.

That was one of the first episodes I watched. It really did well so stand alone.

Blink is a pretty good episode, but I can never get over the sheer amount of plot holes and inconsistencies in it. Still a great episode but man...

the season 4 finale is my personal favorite.

I guess I somehow manage to ignore most of them, because I'm having a hard time thinking of them.

Thinking of best episodes I was reminded of the episode that built me up the most just to let me down. Listen.

Hah I watch that exact YouTube video all the time.

Personally I thought the speech from the 10th doctor in which he was raging against the circumstances (having to change places with Wilfred, guaranteeing death) was one of the most moving scenes I've witnessed on television... Comparing himself initially with Wilfred ("Who are you? I could do so much more! You were always this, Wilfred" etc) and finally concluding with "it would be my honor". Seriously, I got a little teary eyed there.

Poor Wilfred so desperately wanted him not to sacrifice himself too... Bleh, that was an incredible scene, two wonderful people and one of them has to die.
