Hmm, I wouldn't bet either way. Its up a lot but I wouldn't be surprised if we got a huge nosedive by the end of the summer and a weak holiday WW. Japans sales dropped pretty suddenly.

What do u mean Japan's sales dropped suddenly? It's down a mere 9% YoY 15 weeks into the year.

I expect Ps4 to get a price drop this year, but then again I am not confident that Sony has a blockbuster for the holidays.

3DS on the other hand regained some momentum thanks to the launch of the N3DS, but then again we don't know what's coming after may.

I will say "no" to your prediction at the moment.

3DS will strugle to sell more in 2015 than 2104-  most people buying the New 3DS are upgrading - sp the N3DS is not growing the overall market too much-  it could do better than last year but if it does it won t be by much and just as likely will be down

Honestly it would be sad if 3DS had more sales this year over the PS4. 3DS life cycle is just about ready to go with two more years left and PS4 just starting.

I think the ps4 will be up more you but the 3DS has the largest chance of increasing more so it seems.

Yes from a percentage wise as you state ,I think probably your right. ,i thought you where saying it would sell more outright. But even i think those PS4 numbers are high , with more games on XONE and Wii U , especially with Microsofts official price drop to £299 in the UK, a strong market for Xbox.

Anyway back to 3DS . i think it will sell well this year, Nintendo need to announce some exclusive N3DS titles as well at E3 to keep all those purchasers of the new model happy, which i think they will. I to think 3DS will have great sales this year, but what happens next year is all down to new announcements from Nintendo. Whether they can get another good year out of 3DS in 2016 is in their court but yes this year i think they will have it sewn up.

As much as I would like an increase in the 3DS sales, the system really needs a successor. The N3DS release will make it sell like 2013 and 2014, but it won't get an important increase, if at all (specially when Youkai Watch and Fire Emblem IF coming in 2016). The PS4 will grow like snowball rolling down a mountain, even if it's just because the multiplayer effect, people will buy the same system that their friends to play together or to trade games. Even so, it won't start selling more than 20 million units per year until its third year, when the PS3 losses most of the support it has left.
