Forums - Nintendo Discussion - A biased review: Donkey Kong 64

I dont understand why many people thinks that this is the best Donkey, or that the franchise has been down since that game. DK64, even being a good game is the most boring Donkey Kong platformer ever made. (Not counting snes ports on GB)

I think Tropical Freeze and Diddy Kong quest are the best ones.

It seems that most people either really hate this game or really love it. Not sure what I'd think about it, tbh.

They think it's the best because it's the most hardcore.

Since when 3D environments = Hardcore?

Is some of those stupid prejudices that many gamers have today.

Too bad every DK games released since have been weaker. Then again none of them actually tried to be better.

I've never played this one. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like your posting history after you reached the 1,000 mark.

I'm like Nintendo. I live on past glories.

This is honestly one of the worst platformers I've ever seen. And I've seen Bubsy 3D, Anubis II and Ninjabread man.

It's like Rare did it on purpose, so Banjo-Kazooie would be their real star. :p

DK64 is enjoyable, but nowhere as enjoyable as the 2D DK platformers. Rare obviously did a much, much better job with the Banjo games and Conker.

Banjo-Tooie and Conker are both worse than Donkey Kong 64. You can't deny that, but if you do, I'll ask to get you banned.

At least you agree that Banjo-Kazooie is better than DK64.
