Forums - Gaming Discussion - Star Wars Celebration: Battlefront Does Not Have a Campaign

I'm OK with just solo and offline co-op missions. But I would have preferred to have a story campaign. I will still get the game as long as there is a decent amount of offline content.

I see also that exclusive PS marketing is 100% confirmed with the new trailer having the Playstation sting at the end. It ain't a true replacement for a lack of Uncharted 4 this year, but it's something.

Apparently, It is said that there are no classes now, just the normal progression seen in COD. Also I think I heard that vehicles work like kill streaks now, which explains why we saw bombers in that trailer, despite the confirmation of no space combat etc

There's no space combat?

Man, I hope none of the people complaining about the lack of a campaign among the single player parts of this game bought Smash Bros 4 Wii U. They'd have been very disappointed. XD

EA wants maximum profits again, never something right in their games

Land Wars Online Alpha? No, thanks.

Battlefront II had about a 3-4 hour campaign or so with around 18 missions I believe, so I am curious about this "set of short missions". I'm not too sure about this game yet, lack of Space Battles is very disappointing but if there if Galactic Conquest, I might hop back in.

Damn, my lady boner went away in record timing.

Not really surprising, given how original games were, plus DICE is best when they stay away from campaigns and just make great multiplayer, like in Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2.

I don't understand the difference between missions and a campaign....

Campaign is a story telling mode on video games, lets you travel with Heroes and explore there world, there a lot more feelings when do that but the basic is the good memories to have of those games with campaign ' Missions, is a five or ten maps, a lot of enemies, run and gun gameplay, do the same in every mission, pay 50$ more for dlc..... there is alot examples this gen like, Tiatnfall, Destiny, Evolve..... The sad with those types of games is they call the multiplayer training, a "campaing" or "story mode" but is also make it hilarious I don't hate thoose games just ingore them and buy with low price games like The order, Dying light, bloodborne... maybe some hasn't somenthing special about story telling, but i have somenthing to remember for them at the and

Not fussed personally. Bit intrigued about the missions though.

Also, galactic conquest.... Where is it?
