Sony's made a few failures... attemps at making a popular franchise similar to Monster Hunter. Why not get From Software to make something like say 'Demon's Hunters.'
The Souls games are amazing, but one major change that I'd like to see from the franchise is doing away with the Soul levels and having a well balanced game. If this franchise was tobecome successful, they could create new areas, new bosses, and new weapons to add onto the existing ones much like Capcom does with Monster Hunter, slowly tweaking the balance on each game towards perfection while adding content.
Not that this game would be like Monster Hunter, just a few of the concepts. The Souls games have new game plus modes. Edit it to be like Monster Hunter where you can replay any area you want at any difficulty with the hub worl where you'd party up and go out on quest. It'd certainly fix the horrible match making present in Souls games. For people who want to attack some, they could also do it from the hub world and choose which locations they'd have preference in, allowing them to attack some from every area and not strictly the place they're standing in. This would also fix the issue with people unable to be invaded since they've happened to kill a boss.
So what I'd like to see is a system that lets you play and practice any rank of any stage with a Demon's Souls hub and environment. They could even have quests that make you start at 1-1 and go all the way through 1-4. You have a time limit and if you die you respawn at the beginning with only bosses stilld efeated. Instead of having healing items like Demon's Souls and Bloodborne you'd use Estus Flasks or something similar. No grinding for herbs or vials, one set amount. Create a new magic Estus Flask, have preset bullets, and preset amount of arrows, to force these characters into playing mixed builds. Also add a colliseum From Software. There's been four games and you know people love the pvp, yet the pc Dark Souls is the only one with an arena.
