BREAKING: The United States Congress Just Won a Unanimous Victory Over Barack Obama

Conservative Tribune

Working together, U.S. representatives have finally reached bipartisan agreement on a piece of legislation that will give Congress the final say in any Iranian nuclear deal.

The bill is the result of many hours of hard work by members of the Foreign Relations Committee. After a classified briefing earlier today, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and ranking committee member Ben Cardin, D-Md., announced the agreement.

The bill was later passed unanimously by the Senate Foreign Relations panel. It has yet to go on to the full House and Senate, but many are confident it will pass with a veto-proof majority.

The two major parts of the bill would give Congress time to approve the final agreement with Iran and would require updates from the administration about Iran’s compliance with any final agreement that’s reached.

Sen. Corker summed up the thinking behind the bill. “More fully than ever, I believe Congress should play a role in ensuring that all the details that need to be in place are there,” he said.

Many senators who were in the classified briefing in the morning are still unclear about what the deal Obama reached with Iran includes, and also at what point in time sanctions would be lifted. This should indicate the level of understanding the Obama administration itself has about the deal they supposedly brokered.

If the Obama administration doesn’t even understand what the deal is about, how can we trust them to carry it out and make sure that it is in America’s best interests?

President Barack Obama has threatened repeatedly to veto this legislation, but has now flipped and said that he is open to negotiations with Congress. Doubtless, this was the result of members of Congress from both parties taking a strong stand against the attempt by Obama to bypass Congress and unilaterally capitulate to Iran’s demands.

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, “The president would be willing to sign the proposed compromise that is working its way through the committee.” (H/T The Blaze)

It’s obvious from previous statements that Obama would much rather have gone around Congress on this deal. He’s not signing this because he wants to, but because he has no choice. That’s why this is such a key victory.

It is refreshing to see Congress taking a stand against Obama and defending the American people. With so much partisan bickering going on, it is refreshing to see that Congress can occasionally unite to protect America and her interests.

Obama’s attempt at circumventing the American people has been stopped cold. We can only hope that this will continue in the full Senate and the House and that Obama will be halted once and for all.

Spread this good news everywhere. Today is a great day for America, and for the world! Every needs to know about this and know that there is still hope for us.

This is a horrible propaganda article.

ITT: Misleading title is misleading.

Congress hasn't won any victory until the ACTUAL vote happen, especially not "unanimously" among the 10 or so Senators on the Foreign Relations panel.

Also on-topic, the bias is real in that article lol

I don't get how congress have won if they still talking ? or my english is very bad ?

It's a clickbaity title. Congress hasn't officially voted yet, but one panel led by Republicans, two of which are confirmed Presidential Candidates, voted to push this to the Senate floor. Some sources expect the Senate to push it through easily, and from what I've gathered others expect a Veto.

I expected something actually interesting here.

People forget what actual Dictator's do to dissenter's, that's the problem when you install foreign dictators but never experience it locally.

This seemed really important and I leave bored and perplexed.
