Point is they didn't put their all into it,

Not putting your "all" into one mode doesn't mean they didn't put their all into the game as a whole. The shortcomings of battle mode are more than made up for by the quantity and quality of core content.

Lemme rephrase, they didn't put all they should have into the game. Focusing all their efforts on one aspect only made the game as a whole feel incomplete, especially when they still dropped the ball on the gameplay aspect, assuming that was their focus.

People have similar complaints about FE Awakening. Most fans of the series don't think it's the best installment. I never said MK8 is perfect, just that the developers really went all-out packing the game full of high-quality content. Looking at courses like Ribbon Road, the attention to detail in mere background assets is unbelievable. I don't understand why they put that much work into it, but it gives each track a very strong and distinct personality.

Maybe I could have clarified that better from the outset.

Big blue is amazing

I'm so hyped for this update. Pre-ordered it before the first DLC pack came out. I think Villager is going to be my new main.

Baby Park is going to be amazing.

Ah so you're just saying they put their all into the presentation, of course no one can disagree with that!

That, and that the game has about twice as much content as previous Mario Karts.

lol what content? The only semi-new thing is MKTV, and that certainly doesn't outweigh Battle mode. Everything else is par the course, just with some more options as you'd expect.
