the PS4 is not even equivalent power and graphically speaking to a middle range gaming PC- a large number of PC gamers who have gotten a rig in the last few years should be able to run this game at a higher level than that of the PS4

quite impressive sales. bear in mind with the PC you always have a lot of people who will attempt to torrent the game. and it was released 2 years ago! pretty impressive. I've noticed that PC gamers tend to be more patient in terms of waiting for discounts as well so that is another reason the sales are something special

I agree. I am just saying that since there is a huge range in what people are using to play any game. Bragging about only the highest graphical performance of a game only makes sense if your PC is able to do it. I cannot say what each person's rig is capable of, but I can say that the average PC gamer does not have the latest and greatest rig. 

Not really that surprised considering how hyped up it was in other forums.

The power of GTA.

300k people played it at the same time on Steam today, not sure how this Steam Spy works but a developer said once that first day sales are around 8x higher as the peak player count is on the first day (different time zones, not everyone plays it just because he owns it and so on) . I guess the multiplicator is lower for GTA because people play this game for a longer time as other games which they probably stop after an hour or so but still, I guess it's easily more than 1m on Steam.

Holy SHit! that is huge.

I always thought that the GTA craze would wear thin. Here we are 5+ versions later and a 2 year old port is doing 1+ million in it's first day. It's just incredible!!!!!!!

Just goes to show you how deeply the PC Gaming community cares about big name titles and how, if done right, will attract immensive attention. Definitely great and I expect it will get much bigger as time goes on!
