It sounds like Square Enix is not having too much trouble developing Kingdom Hearts 3 at the moment.

Kingdom Hearts 3 director, Tetsuya Nomura, was recently interviewed by Famitsu. He admitted that development for the game is “going smoothly” at the moment. This should be good news for fans as this means the game should be out sooner rather than later. The worst type of news you can get is having a rough time developing a game. We all know that development for Final Fantasy XV has been a rough ride ever since it was announced nine years ago…

Nomura also admitted that some type of Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement should be happening very soon. With E3 just under two months away, hopefully Square Enix has something to share with us. Everyone is kind of hoping maybe Star Wars and/or Marvel characters could be added to the game. It’s a no brainer considering that Marvel and Star Wars are popular franchises right now.

The most interesting thing Nomura said is that some type of Kingdom Hearts development is underway for smartphones as well. It’s unknown yet if this will be a companion app to Kingdom Hearts 3, or just a standalone game by itself. In either case, it sounds interesting.

I know I should have gotten used to modern day Squenix, but this still made me feel a little nauseous.

Yeah i noticed that as well, but i couldnt fit it all in the title. Might deserve a seperate thread though

Yeah that is true xD lol Mobile is so popular in japan though, so it makes sense to bring a game to mobile as well

They've made KH games for mobile before, as far back as 2008, and even a PC browser game. And remember FF7: Before Crisis (2004)?
They've been doing this for over a decade.

I understand that Square Enix's approach to mobile games is either a hit or miss, but I actually appreciate their effort sometimes. I honestly would have never played Chrono Trigger, FF3 and Chaos rings if they weren't on mobile.
