Isn't Psylocke japanese?

Psylocke's name in the comics is Elizabeth Braddock and does that sound like a Japanese name to you?

She got body swapped with a Japanese villiain and her original body was killed leaving her trapped in a Japanese woman's body after all comics are very, very weird especially the x-men.

It doesn't matter what her name sounds like. Her body is Japanese and has been for the majority of the comics. It's how that character looks.

Elizabeth Braddock (Psylocke) was first introduced in 1976 were she was 100% white British till a 1992/3 storyline when her mind got swapped into a Japanese body.

As the next X-men film is set in the 80's having her be white is right.

Sadly if they did that people would claim racism and ignore the comics for their goal. Psylocke's modern look and style is far more marketable as well, although like I mentioned once before, if Marvel want to kick Fox in the nuts on this one, they can just change her back to English version before the movie comes out, confusing new readers. :P

Marvel/Disney also have a big issue. Psylocke is connected to Captain Britain who I presume Fox does not have the rights to but much of his character is defined by Psylocke or even more so, his wife. Captain Britain, I think, is the only character MCU will never have a version of because of Fox (outside the mutants thing).

Wait... if Fox own 'mutants' how did they get around Daisy/Skye in SHIELD? (SHIELD spoilers)

Hmm, pie.

There's no point in getting into that detailed on a comic book character they'll put into a movie. The storylines are completely different from eachother. Pyslocke is more well known as an asian or asian looking. The way she uses her powers and martial arts plays off that she looks asian. There's no telling how much they'll change about that character but the actress playing her is half chinese.

Skye is an Inhuman not a mutant that was revealed last year.

I know that, people watching won't though but in the comics, she is a mutant. Hmm, unless the mutant thing is in question but in order to not be a mutant she'd have to have genetic traits with her father's powers. They are not at all... *goes researching*... Hmm, seems to be in question or Marvel making it questionable enough in comics so she doesn't belong to Fox.

MCU is not right without mutants, the Marvel Universe is defined by it. It is the standout feature. So without them, it's just not right.
