I'd say play your Wii version on WiiU.

I doubt there will be a TPHD anytime soon, next generation at the earliest. A port to Virtual Console like they did with Galaxy 2 recently could be possible though.

Also, obviously it aged, but I don't feel it looks bad in any way, even on a large screen, and graphics being terrible is terribly overstated if you asked me. Otherwise you can also play the Wii version of the game on the Gamepad alone, though you'd look like the biggest nerd ever because you'll have to wave the Remote at the Gamepad screen (which still works fine, I've played Skyward Sword this way) .

I'm hoping the team that handled the remaster of Wind Waker are now hard at work on a Twilight Princess remaster.

The game hasn't aged well, and I'd rather play the game with dual analogs than with the Wiimote. Sword fights feel really lame with all the silly waggling. Plus, even if simple, I liked the way the Gamepad screen was used in Wind Waker HD.

In any case, if you have never played the game, the Wii version is decent enough. Just don't expect anything particularly good coming from your screen, since the graphics haven't aged well and look like ass on a HD screen. It certainly hasn't aged as well as games like Metroid Prime Trilogy, which still looks very good when played on the Wii U.

It's a good looking and great game nevertheless. I wouldn't even mind double-dipping for it.

My younger kid is playing TP these days (he finally has the skills to do it on his own), and while their Wii is hooked to old CRT TV, I can't say it bothers me much to watch it all low res and jagged...well not much at least. It's really great game, so, I wouldn't wait.

Of course, if you really can't wait for remaster and you are way too annoyed with low res, only viable option is Dolphin...just hook up your Wiimote to your PC (and optionally your PC to your TV) and enjoy instant 1080p remaster - and if you're willing to put some small effort into it, HD texture pack for TP is also available.

I played it, and enjoyed it, but in all honestly I think you might enjoy Skyrim more. It has some similar puzzles and hold up much better.

Either you listen to this guy, or you play the game on a smaller TV. I'm curious about something though. Your avatar is Zelda themed. You haven't played Twilight Princess, Majora's Mask or Skyward Sword yet, and you probably just played Windwaker for the first time. Did you just recently (like maybe within the last 4 years) get into Zelda? Can I also ask your age? I'm just curious, don't mean to be insultive or anything.

I would personally say the original GC version is way better, but I'm biased. It's the only version I played (I wanted to play the GC version, and didn't care about the added Wii features). To me, that's the "pure" way to experience the game, but whatever.

I would love if they made an HD TP remake, WWHD style, but who knows if it'll happen. It would be nice if they surprised us with that the way the did WWHD, coming out for this holiday season, but I certainly don't expect that.
