okay, so it is that low. Wow! Rockstar ... where did you put your GTA V Money?? Get your servers straight!

If that would be EA everyone would go grab pitchforks and torches and go hang them lol.

The steam version on the othrer hand seems to have no trouble providing 15mb/s speeds etc.

Yeah, when I downloaded it I think it peaked at around 19 MB/s (on Steam).

This really sucks, you'd think they would get their own servers sorted.

I own GTA on PS3 and I guess all the loading screens you had to deal with when joining a game or starting a mission etc all of that was moved to the very beginning of the PC version they just disguise it as downloading xD

I will weep for you. My top speed is 2.7MB/s I think.

Ignore the "remaining download time" part its glitched probably cant show more than 99 days and then just shows hours left instead

890 bytes/s

So can you beat my speed?

Hit "pause", wait a few seconds and then "resume"... that should fix the slow download speed for a while.

But yeah, it's really annoying to babysit a game download like that... should have bought it on Steam with a much better server structure.

There is an app I used a little while back that you can have click a spot for you in intervals. I can't remember what I used it for, I think it was some continual 'warning/next' buttons on some obscure timeslips recovery software which had no ignore all errors switch. Whatever, it would really help, you could have it do two clicks ten seconds apart every 5 or 10 minutes or so.

I got 3 mb/s on steam :D

The last hours the download rate got stable for me:

I hope that all of you can finish your pre-downloads in good time prior to game activation.

haha

atleast its a game worth waiting for

Damn... another update?

Seriously whats the purpose of preloading (which took like a week) when I then have to wait another hour so I can download the remaining 1,6GB and then 350MB?

Why is the day1 patch not part of the preloading?

Rockstar you suck dirty diapers!

WTF

Downloaded the 350 MB patch 3 times now and at the last 10 or so MB it  stops, sayssomething about unable to downlaod gives an error code and then "please try again later"

And if I press  "try again" it strarts from 0MB again.

Edit: you suck dirty retirement home diapers!

Worldwide Steam download traffic is still on fire.

First peak at 3 Terabyte per second when the pre-download of GTA5 was available:

Second peak at 3.1 Terabyte per second when GTA5 got activated with its mandatory patch:
