And not a good, silly way. The action and plot were laughable. I half expected Vin Diesel to start flying at some point. And I really wish Jason Statham could actually do some damage - he made a grand entrance only to not be able to hurt them. The fight scenes were weak compared to movies like The Raid.

It was too over-the-top to be enjoyable. The ending was the only good part, the rest was one big cheesy catchphrase.

Fast and Furious is all about OTT unbelievable action, so it did its job well.

Sure, but they were originally street racers, the new movies paint them as the fucking Expendables.

The world itself is also unbelievable. And I don't recall all the past movies being as over-the-top, cheesy.

yeah i agree with that.

i dont expect an oscar wining movie when i go to see a "Fast and Furious" movie, neither do i expect an amazing plot/story or believable Physics, i just want a dumb over the top fun to watch movie and thats what it is.

also that ending... that got to me.

These movies have managed to become more and more over-the top with each installment, I find it hard to believe that they could keep this up much longer without venturing into science fiction territory...

Also... Paul Walker's unfortunate death was used to promote it.

6 was so far OTT with the tank and plane stuff that people were saying the same back then. 7 ups it even more and people like it, thats why its already done over half a Billion at the box office and FF6 did almost $800 Million.
