No interest in Pikmin 3? The Judges have not yet decided if you are even worthy of a Wii U....

I don't think you should get one. Serious.
Nothing to play but washed out Nintendo sequels and a few japanese games. No third party support, weak online, most games don't even have voice chat, game pad isn't as good as it's made out to be. It's cool but far from a selling feature.

If this sounds in your ballpark, please do engage, but I don't think there are a lot of people who find that appeasing, seeing as Wii U's meager sells and it will likely be disconnected before the end of next year.

"Nothing to play but washed out Nintendo sequels"

Uhm... all you get is CoD, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed and etc "sequels". Judging by your logic, you shouldn't get a PS4 or Xbox One either.

Weak online? Actually no, it is very good which it is also free.

Gamepad actually is very good/useful. Also, you have the option to use a Wii U Pro Controller if you really don't like the Gamepad that much.

Also, the Wii U will finish its 5 year minnimum life cycle like every other Nintendo console. Wii U is not being replaced until 2017.

Let me break this down.

Games: NSMB U DKCR:TF, SM3DWorld , SSBU, WWHD  = None of these are innovative or even pushing the Wii U's weak hardware to the limit.  I think most of them could have been done on Wii if you tone down the resolution and some of the shaders and textures.  Only game that impressived me was Mario Kart.

There are a few gems on there coming on it if you like Japanesey games, Like Bayonetta and Xenoblade Chronicles, which is why I bought one.  (Other than the fact that I got it for 60 dollars, couldn't see myself buying one for 350 or whatever when there's PCs and PS4)

Fairy certain 2015 will be the last year the Wii U gets a lot of support from Nintendo, and the successor will be out before late 2017.

Oh and btw BloodBourne for PS4, Rise of Tomb Raider on Xbone, and everything else that ever big name dev is making.  GTA, AC, COD, BF, Dark Souls, Bioshcok, ect ect.

First off, that is not all of the Wii U's games.

Second, you are completely controversal. Practically every single game on the Xbox One and PS4 can be downgraded and played on the PS3 or Xbox 360. Every game is like that.

Dragon Age on 360 and PS3. CoD: AW on ps3 and 360, GTA V, on ps3 and 360. I could go on and on. ANY game can be put on an older console if res/textures/shading is downgraded.

For $180?

Sure. You can't even get a 3DS for that price so if you can If you have an extra HDD or USB stick laying around the house you can even use that for memory expansion.

Just don't expect third party content, but if you're looking for something to compliment a PS4/X1 (either today or in the future), sure, Wii U works well.

You answered that question yourself. What other reason would you buy a console for than to play the games that you like.

that is true.

also, your sig is creepy....i like it.

Thanks. Creepy is good. Might as well make a sig be somewhat memorable.

Do it, now is a great time to buy one. So many awesome games coming in the future, plus the already great library of games it currently has

Really? You want all those games but the lack of third party support is a problem? Are you not planning on buying any other consoles?

yes it is a problem for me. I have a ps4 and xbone. I still don't like to buy a system only for exclusives. I want more options for multis and better value out of the system in general.

if you have those consoles, then why would you buy a wii u only if it has the same games that those other consoles do? that makes absolutely no sense. do you honestly think the games would have any chance of being any better in any way if they were released on the wii u?

I think most people have covered a lot of the big points here. You have a good list of wanted games, I would recommend picking one up. Yeah, the games don't fall in price as fast but then again, they don't come as frequently as releases for other games. A silver lining of no 3rd party support I suppose xD

There are also eshop games to consider to, especially ones only available on Wii U.
