Forums - General Discussion - Cop caught on camera shooting unarmed man and planting evidence on his body.

Craziness. Another situation is about to blow up, but this time it was caught by a citizen and the cop has been charged. He tried to lie and blame it on the guy but no one one would hear his lies because it was caught on video.

What is the criteria for becoming a police officer in the States these days? Must have watched Die Hard at least 3 times or something...?

These things happen way too often.

And this is why laws that prevent citizens from recording police shouldn't exist, so crap like this doesn't slip by us.

If watching Die Hard were the criteria, wouldn't these all be good cops trying to save the world? lol The reason alot of this is happening is due to the people who go INTO law enforcement. Usually, it's alphamales who need and/or have to have some sort of power trip to feel important. As you can imagine, that is a monster that eats and eats and never stops eating. One thing leads to another and you have shit like this.

True. The world has started to question our country's law enforcement as soon as the videos have surfaced.

Yeah this was on the BBC News just now, I believe. Scary stuff.

Moving to General as per request.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Thanks. Also, yes, this is something that should not be happening but is. The UN has come out about their distate for police brutality in the US. This new case is by far the worst of them all because it caught the murder and the planting of evidence to save his skin after he murdered him coldly.

I don't know. Since the video capture phenomenon in the states the cops have shot people to near death on the floor and handcuff them. One guy had a screw driver in his hands and they shot him because he wouldn't drop it and then while he was on the floor bleeding out they were still screaming for him to drop the screw driver. Once they realized what they had done they were like " Oh shit".

The suspect ran away in a threatening, dehumanizing way, the officers actions were simply out of concern for his safety and the safety of others. He is a real american hero.

And no, I'm not serious.

Bad cop. Plain and simple. Ruining the reputation of thousands of good ones. Luckily it was caught on video so justice can be served.

But people are really latching on to these race videos as of late, aren't they? And the media knows it! Black injustice equals ratings boom! I hate it. I don't want to be judged as a criminal because another person that looks like me commits crimes. I don't want to be denied a promotion because somebody else of my race was incompetent. I don't want to have a bad reputation because the media portrays people in my profession as 'out of control'. Gotta suck to be a good, well trained police officer right now, huh?
