I say around 2025 because unlike the wii, the wiiU is a lot more involved with online and eshop

I think Wii U's online will last a fair bit longer than the Wii's.

I`d probably say several years after their next console comes out. I figure they`re not going to pull the plug on the Wii U`s online so soon, especially with their big online games like Smash, MK8, and Splatoon. I think you`ll still be good ; )

I think the NX and future unified platform will use the same online infrastructure, only building upon it. So effectively never. Or at least, not for a very, very long time.

I'd say 2022

I'm sure the online will still be running even through 9th gen...

Though maybe some online features will be disabled eventually..

This is pretty weird to speculate.

Probably in the early 2020's. It really depends on the NX growth and output for the Wii U, but I'm sure we'll be expecting the Wii U to go a lot longer than expected given all the great content we're getting this year and the unannounced titles for next year, not to mention Zelda Unknown

Definitely later than Zelda, Wii U has much better online services than the Wii did, so they will probably keep it around longer

2021 is what I'll go with.
