Bare with me on this. According to data from Famitsu and VGC, the best selling entry in the Fatal Frame series is Fatal Frame II: The Crimson Butterfly for the PS2 and XB with 165k sold in the west and 64k in Japan, for a total of 229k WW. Currently, Fatal Frame V for Wii U has sold over 60k in Japan and will launch later this year in both Europe and North America.

So, is it possible? Could Fatal Frame V actually become the best selling game in the series? It only needs 169k total to reach that achievement, and that's with two substantial regions remaining. What do you think?

I think its possible, having the gamepad makes the Wii U version the best way to experience Fatal Frame yet.

At first, I was going to say you were crazy, but looking at those numbers. It`s not completely out of the question ; ) It would be cool if it was. It`s also a matter if the game is good.... o:

Yeah, it's never been a big seller. Honestly, I'm surprised Nintendo acquired the rights to it. I'm guessing it was to add diversity to their platforms and establish their own exclusive horror series.

Easily. I honestly expect this entry to do much better. Maybe not as big of a boost, but similar from what Awakening did to the Fire Emblem series. So maybe about 400k worldwide:? It may sound crazy but honestly I'm expecting this to do really good.
