I'm sure they had a long time to develope the game, they will probably have it complete before December. A StarFox game doesn't need as much work as Zelda or Smash. They might release a couple of mods after launch, though.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Wow, I never really thought about this as a possibility. Out of all of the games that Nintendo makes, this is actually probably not only the most likely Nintendo game to get episodes, it is really the only game that makes sense to get episodes. Think about it, Star Fox was an episodic kind of game anyways, there was an overlying story, buti n reality it was a bunch of missions taking place on different planets. If they do it right, and wind an amazing story into it, they could easily break it up into episodes by planet, or solar system, or however this one will be, and people will keep buying the episodes to get to more of the story (because we already know the gameplay will be great). I personally do not want this to happen, I like having the entire game in one go, I'm just saying, it could definitely work. Hopefully they don't scan VGChartz for ideas, because you may have just given them one haha.

P.S. Episodes make me think of TV, and if done right, a Star Fox TV show would be SWEET!

No, it won't.

I wouldn't mind to be honest.

As a long suffering fan of many of Nintendo's neglected franchises like Star Fox, Wave Race, Advance Wars, F-Zero, etc. (I prefer all of these over Zelda) ... I've often just felt like why not just make one core engine for these IP, and then update every once in a while to keep providing new content.

I'd be happy with that.

I'd pay $50+ for a new F-Zero using the exact same graphcis as the 2003 F-Zero GX in 720p today with new tracks. No questions asked.

Nintendo doing episodic content? I don't see it.

Hopefully not. But in the miniscule chance it does, I ain't buying any of them.

there's no single hint to support it...the biggest concern is,it could be a budget game

I doubt it, and hopefully it doesn't..

More likely it'll either be on rails like classic starfox or that it'll be short in content although I wouldn't be shocked if you were right.

Either way a a battleship game with no/very little character animations and only ships+geographic/space terrain, and linear shooting gameplay will not take too long to develop.

I've been thinking StarFox will either be episodic or maybe with bit content DLC packs similar to the way Borderlands does it. I dunno tho, could just be a standalone experience for better or worse.
