Seems like it will back to how it was before... no?

Many of history's greatest saga's are like that

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I also want to give a shout out to KyleeStrutt when it comes to finding users interested in turning our data into interesting analyst pieces. She's already created some great threads about sales data. :)

First of all, a big congratulations is in store for Truck. I know he's been putting a lot of time and effort into the site, and that's on top of being a part of the mod team. Guy is amazing. Kudos!

Secondly, I know you've been back for a bit, but a official welcome back is in store to the gamrConnect guys. We've missed you. :D

Lastly, a lot has been said of the game database. Will that be seeing an overhaul as well?

But beyond all that, here's to a new era in VGChartz. Glad to be a part of it. ^_^

I have praised the changes on machina's and trucks' wall,so it's needless to do it again, here!Gongratulations guys and particularly to our (trucks) skilful web programmer!

Great times on the way smeagonator but there is a black spot...Don't forget what's the main attraction of vgc and currently there is a problem with that!:( ;)

Great news, I'm not really fussed about scoreless reviews and I quite like pros and cons but you have to keep in mind that people can still collect pros/cons like they do scores and then there's reviews where there are too many pros and little cons and vise versa which leads to the same result of an argument between scores but instead with pros/cons, at least try to keep a balance between them.

I'd also love for someone to take up being a PC reviewer on here, places like Destructoid don't review PC games as often and when they do it;s from one who dabbles too much a handheld or console and let's that setup get in the way of their review, guys over at PCgamer seem like an alright technical bunch, having someone with a technical side here to review would be nice too.

I know it's a bit fanboyish to some from such a suggestion but I just want a balance on here and for PC to have a bit more info on here, especially since some users are trying to gather digital Steam data, it would be nice to see some official reviewer on here to do that some justice.

Back in the day, we had a weekly/monthly article of rough estimates of WiiWare/PSN/XBLA data. I honestly thought it was one of VGChartz most interesting and well done pieces.

Now that SteamSpy is gaining traction, I wonder if gathering such digital data is possible for us. We'll see.

Scoreless reviews? I personally think that's stupid. Every other medium uses scoring systems. Do you really think your writers to be so incompetant that they can't properly assign scores to games? Or do you think your readers are too incompetant to actually read the review?(this is probably true) I literally was just reading a Consumer Reports and they assigned scores to everything from toasters to washing machines. Why not video games?

Bingo.

Scores only serve to undermine the work of the writer. I'd say that they shouldn't even have pros and cons. If you can't be bothered to read the full review, you don't deserve to know the opinion. If you read the whole review, pros and cons at the end are redundant.

Exciting times are upon us!

There are other gaming sites that don't use scoring systems anymore.

it's definitely a start, though I would suggest that over time users/writers branch out to more data forms over time than sticking with just the one source =P, there are still users who use outdated Steam Database data in arguments rather than using data from sources across the internet/world which would certainly benefit their argument/articles better along with contributing more data to the archives.
