sooo much better

Mario kart DD was by far my favorite mario kart up until the release of MK8, I loved the game so much and even won a tournament at my univesity.  So I can understand why you like it so much, but the game is dated, it has been improved upon over and over again throughout the series culminating in a masterpiece iwth mk8.  I hope one day they bring back the duel characters on a kart, but until then I will be enjoying mk8 and all of the amazing dlc.

idk about dated bro, i mean mario kart 8 has multiplayer, that's pretty much all it has over double dash

Welp.

1. You can choose to not use items, at least on the Wii version. So, no. Having only one item is nothing great.

2/3. DLC is DLC and you have to pay for it. It doesn't come with the game. I won't be able to play those tracks, like many others, unless I'm willing to pay for those. So, the normal common experience is only 16 new tracks.

4. Those are lazy, not different. They weren't ready for HD development.

5. I'm also normally at first, at least in this game, because is pretty easy. It doesn't change the fact the the horn is nothing noteworthy. All of the worthy tems were from previous games. Even in this game is unbalanced. The first place got a red shell while I at 3rd or 4th place get a fucking coin. Worst item balance in Mario Kart.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

The whole kart customization thing is a vast improvement over DD's race to get your character before you friend steals him mechanic.  There were a number of bugs in DD, it's not nearly as clean as the later installments.  No Online, vs mode has vastly improved on the later games though I wish they would do 16 course grand prix again, that was amazing.  Really, the only thing that's still relevant are the courses and the 2 person kart gameplay, but I'd argue that if you took the top 16 courses from mk8 and compared them to DD's, you would find that mk8 has a better selection.  MK8 has done the best with the single kart by only allowing one item at a time but for those of us that prefer double person kart, you will only get that with DD.

Mario Kart 8 surpasses all other MK games significantly in in terms of anything, SPECIALLY THE MUSIC!! Only bad thing in MK8 is the battle mode and actually I love it, but its kind of hit or miss depending on whom u r playing with.

1. I don't believe you can make that selection online, either way my argument is "with items" not "without items".

2/3. Agree to Disagree, if (starting april 23rd) I can go to vs mode and choose to play 48 different courses on mk8 then mk8 has 48 courses plain and simple.  I mean, mk7 costs 40 dollars as opposed to 50 or 60 dollars for dd or 64, does that mean that 64 and dd now suddenly have 12 courses because you paid more?  Of course not, you paid full price and got what you paid for, I paid 72 dollars and got 48 courses.  Honestly, at this point if you aren't going to agree now, you never will, just agree to disagree and move on, though at this point it kinda seems like we are out of arguments and this debate is done.  If you have something meaningful to add I will respond otherwise I'm gonna go about my day.

4. it's possible to be lazy AND different

5. We clearly have different experiences, I have found this to be the most well balanced game.

You're gonna pit DD on MK8? Are you on acid or something? DD was okay but Mario Kart 8 is such a great game, I don't know how it can get any better. Whenever I play it's like...this is perfect, I don't wanna go to bed or use the bathroom. Good thing they have off screen, it's a life saver.

Only possible opinion: Both are great.

I hated Double Dash. The only Mario Kart game that ever felt "off" to me. 64, 7, and 8 are all superior in my book, and even the Wii version was simply a lot more fun than DD. And comparing it to 8 in terms of tracks or music especially is almost hysterical.

Upcoming Games To Get

Definite: Kirby Star Allies (Switch), Mario Tennis Aces (Switch), Fire Emblem (Switch), Yoshi (Switch), Pokemon (Switch), Kingdom Hearts 3 (PS4), Monster Hunter World (PS4)

Considering: Fe (Switch), Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (Switch), The World Ends With You (Switch), Ys VIII (Switch), Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (PS4), Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remix (PS4), The Last Guardian (PS4), Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS4), Anthem (PS4), Shenmue 3 (PS4), WiLD (PS4)

The Karts in DD handle like top heavy dune buggies, and it's annoying.

Not really...
