Why do I get the feeling this is aimed at me somehow...

It's not aimed at anyone. It's more a reminder to people of the new rules; because I'd rather that than people think it's OK to break the rules and thus, cause needless moderation.

Ill just pretend I dont see the posts then. Reporting someone just feels childish and pitiful to me.

Not saying people who do it are. Its just the feeling I get about myself when I think about reporting someone.

Mods, life would be easier if you just gave me mod powers. When the people on your team delete my reports, then say they will take a serious look at it in the future, but then still don't care and I have to demand yet another time that I should be listened to before something is actually done, then it's time for me to take things into my own hands and do what you call "backseat moderating" because otherwise threads go out of control because nobody is saying anything, and sentences go on and on and on, with no end in sight.

Yeah this is kinda what I have issues with when it comes to reporting is when you report and nothing happens but someone is clearly stepping over the line, i start to question which mod got the message and did they ignore it since no action was taken, even if action is taken hours and hours later it is still a problem.

I know the mods aren't perfect but there needs to be a hive mind of sorts, not 5 mods that agree and perform their role to the note and 1-2 mods ignore and trash the message or don't bother with it, I know you guys aren't perfect but I understand your message of tring to improve the site/community but you guys must also realise to improve yourselves, how many of you there are, how active you are to reports and how alligned you all are to each and every report (Seriously I tried mesaging a mod a few weks back and only 1 of you was online 12AM UK time compared to your whole team, that's a bad thing in my books of quality).

I'd also like to think like Rol said, we shoudln't have to report twice let alone multiple times afterwards to get the message across, there just needs to be more active mods or mods paying attention than us having to foot the bill via multiple reports of the same situation.

I am quite sure that a bunch of mods will get demoted in the near future, first and foremost due to their lack of activity. When there are 19 or so mods, but less than ten are known to the community at large, then something needs to change.

I am also quite sure that I will be conveniently left out again when the next round of mod promotions is announced.

Whoa, I didn't know we had 19 of them, jesus I've only seen a total of maybe 5-6 of them, that does seem to be a bit of a problem, I mean it would be super nice if there was just an added page where you can see the complete list of mods and if they are online or not, that way it keeps us knowing who's online and who to contact and also makes sure there is an active number of them online instead of maybe 3-4 with the rest being offline or doing something else.

I know we keep getting revisions to the rules and I know very well that mods don't want much mod dicussion unless it's in that one thread but is it much to ask for mods to change themselves?, I'm talking how they interact, how they go about their business, if you're busy with outside life too much to interact or deal with others on here then maybe a change is in order.

Would be hilarious if you made mod though Rol.

I rarely report any posts especially if the post most likely was already reported and will be moderated. I also believe that just because a post was reported doesn't mean that the user should be moderated.
