Do you guys perfer subbed anime or dubbed anime? and why?

I liked subbed because its what I'm used to and I hate waiting so I don't wanna wait for the dubbed and most dubs sound funny anyways XD

usually subbed though DBZ is very good dubbed. Naruto I cannot STAND dubbed. Naruto Shippuden had a chance to change the voice actor and he somehow got WORSE!

It really depends on the anime. If the anime is clearly taking place in a Japanese setting or has Japanes themes, I prefer to watch it it in Japanese with subtitles

Example: A Tale Of Princess Kaguya, Princess Mononoke, Death Note, Code Geass, Naruto, Akira (the movie), Hunter X Hunter, and Dragon Ball.

If the anime is based on western themes or has western characters, I would watch it dubbed if the voice acting is top notch.

Example: Hellsing Ultimate OVA, Monster, and Full Metal Alchemist.

However, there are a few anime shows and movies I watched dubbed that are clearly Japanese. I think this is because the english localization was really popular and well marketed

Example: Sprited Away, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon, Pokemon, Yugioh, Paprika

the answer to this is always subbed, maybe with the exception of anything Disney dubs. Disney pours mad cash into their dubbing. I think the Spirited Away dub is actually better than the original Japanese.

I have access to more anime, if I watch anime subtitled versus waiting til it's dubbed. It takes too damn long for anime to get dubbed. I want to learn japanese just so I can watch any anime that I want.
