Hey skull I've been a lurker on this thread for a few weeks. Do you have any Idea why we rarely see hardware on this chart these days?
And what do you expect for MHX first week? It's been tip of these charts for ages

Hardware is usually lurking below the top 20, unless there is some reason for it to spike like a new game release, bundle or price cut (which is why PS4 hardware has been more present on the chart recently and why the Vita has a spot on the most recent chart). It's definitely true that hardware isn't as prominent on this chart as it is with Amazon US, and I'm not exactly sure why. It may be because the Japanese just prefer to buy such a thing in a store. Amazon certainly isn't as big in Japan as it is in other regions, so cheaper products are likely to be seen as more reliable. 

As for MHX, I'm anticipating between 1.4m and 1.5m FW. Definitely less than MH4, but more along the lines of MH4U (slightly higher would be the best case scenario).

Yeah that makes sense.  And an opening that big for MHX would be amazing.  And it would be bigger than the Halo 5 opening in the US. Who'd ever think that could happen.

Yep, both franchises are huge in their respective regions, but I definitely didn't think that this was a possibility.
