Well, looks like the lower price model of the PS4 is pushing it's sales very hard.
And am I the only one who finds the CoD Limited edition PS4 just hideous?

The price cut hasn't been applied yet. This is one of those situations where Amazon won't accurately reflect sales. Really not sure what's up with it.
And I find it hideous as well.

I thought the price on those 2 base models was the reduced price, since it is pretty close to the one of the base Wii U

Nope. The price cut starts on October 1st and it will drop to the base Wii U price.

Wii U needs a price cut incoming.... though in all honesty a price cut would be nice.

Yeah, they need to start being competitive with their pricing (at least in Japan). They're ignoring a large portion of their demographic by keeping the price of the console high. I imagine many families would jump on a Wii U for Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Yoshi, etc. this holiday if the price was appealing enough.
Even a small pricecut of, let's say 30$/25€/3500 Yen could do quite a bit, not only in Japan. But a 50$ equivalent pricecut would be better and more effective for sure
