No hate... I'm just telling you how I see it.  I'm not sure how you define "winning" but I think each company's console has got something going for it.  Sony is definitely moving a lot more home console hardware than anyone else.  However I don't see them reaching fifty million by next September.  

No hate, huh?  So I guess the PS1 and PS2 gens were complete duds, too?  And people were just clinging to those systems as a life raft?  Sure...

You'd think some would abandon this excuse.  Especially when the other consoles are doing worse with releasing games in a timely, abundant fashion.  I guess they also don't get that those indies that "don't count," actually do.

Yeah it's pretty silly to claim PS4 is selling off of hype alone. PS4 is selling because it is the ultimate games console and that is exactly what people want, that's what they've always wanted.


Playstation is also the strongest home console brand. Its hilarious how many throw this fact out the window when discussing the here and now when past trends suggest we'll get a solid lineup of quality and quantity.

I believe PS4 is simply the easiest Console of choice this generation, the most powerful, most popular, more games, more variety, better multiplatform games, and Bloodborne :D

Exactly just imagine if MS had their way with DRM, online check - ins (LOL), no used games, mandatory Kinect (woohoo Kinect Adventures 2!), etc. WiiU is a great secondary console but can never appease me as a primary console.

nah seriously, a couple of factors could would help massively.

1. MSFT retreating from markets where it is not selling at all well (was going to say europe minus uk & japan but i think its pretty much the world minus US and UK).
2. Strong line up
3. Price cut in run up to xmas 2015
4. Snowball effect of breaking through 50% of 8th gen.
