Wow that's an eye opener, they really had all those release dates set?

Well this is even worse than Sony´s release schedule. Got to give credits to MS on making deadlines

Lol yeah grats to Ms....just look how awesome the master chief collection was

Or look at how awesome Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive are. The fact that FH2 was announced in like June and released in September is great for a deadline. MCC was too ambitious for what it was originally supposed to be. A Halo 2 remaster.

Still not worse than 2005-2006 for GameCube.

January 11, 2005 - resident evil 4
August 2005 - geist
October 2005 - fire emblem: path of radiance
November 2005 - super mario strikers
December 2006 - zelda: twilight princess

GC was dead after 2004 in everyone's eyes.

FTFY ;)

Anyway, GameCube was pretty bleak after Prime 2 came out.

If they delay Xenoblade out of 2015 i will sue Nintendo for emotional distress

I hear you. Moving "Legend of Zelda" to insure quality, that's fine.

If they push back a game that's already finished in Japan because they haven't devoted enough resources to localization would be unforgivable, considering the gap created by Zelda. It's imperitive that Nintendo releases everything the can in the West this Fall/Winter. Otherwise, they're going to be looking at smaller numbers than last year... and nobody wants that.

So we're taking a promotional image issued by Nintendo of America as a binding statement of when Nintendo's (primarily Japanese) development studios will release games?

Good to know. The Zelda delay is the only big disappointment for me. I'm still expecting Star Fox and Xenoblade this year, but I think we're looking at Q4.

Xenoblade i'd guess could be as early as June in NA. I'd peg it as a summer release there, and maybe fall for Europe.

Maybe that's the reason on the discrepancy for Wooly World, that Wooly World's release date in EU matches Xenoblade in NA, and vice versa.

2005 had a few other things like Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, Battalion Wars, Star Fox: Assault so I would say Wii U 2015 & GC 2005 are about even.

And they had third party support which helped to fill the gaps. 2005 was a solid year for GameCube owners:

  • January 11, 2005 - Resident Evil 4
  • February 8, 2005 - NBA Street V3
  • February 14, 2005 - Star Fox: Assault
  • February 28, 2005 - Fight Night Round 2
  • March 1, 2005 - Mortal Combat: Deception
  • March 14, 2005 - Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
  • March 21, 2005 - Time Splitters: Future Perfect
  • March 31, 2005 - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
  • May 9, 2005 - Donkey Konga 2
  • June 1, 2005 - Digimon World 4
  • June 7, 2005 - Medal of Honor: European Assault
  • June 14,2005 - Batman Begins
  • July 7, 2005 - Killer7
  • July 26, 2005 - Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life
  • August 8, 2005 - Madden NFL 06

I know, we still have Devil's Third, Fatal Frame V and SMTxFE somewhere.

Aside from the load of fail this is filled with and the games you're curiously not adding to the graph, though listed below it, did it ever occur to you that with the move of Zelda to 2016 that it might make more business sense to adjust the other release dates to compensate?

Because that is how releases are scheduled.  1 delay has implications on all the others.

They wouldn't have moved EVERYTHING out of the 1st half of the year, the only game to release so far this year is a Mario Party game and not a good one.  If they had anything else ready they sure as hell would have released it.
