BY JORDAN SIRANIInsomniac Games' Xbox One exclusive, Sunset Overdrive, has received a permanent price drop, bringing its price down to $40 USD.

The price cut is effective starting today, and applies to both retail and digital copies in the U.S.

Insomniac is also celebrating April Fools' Day by adding two new achievements for all players. The first, titled The Worst Job in the Kingdom, requires you to replay and complete the "Floating Garbage" mission within fifteen minutes. Insomniac didn't provide details for the second achievement, Fizzie Says April Fools!, only teasing, "Complete them, and see what happens."

Additionally, today marks the launch of Sunset Overdrive's final piece of DLC,Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines. You can pick it up on its own for $10 USD or as part of the $20 USD season pass.

A new content update also releases today alongside the DLC. The update includes various bug fixes and improvements, which are all detailed on Insomniac's website.

That's great news. It's an excellent game and well worth it. Also if you're a GS whore the DLC provides cheap points, too.

I think the fact that I don't even know if it's real or not is the scariest thing.

The only thing that is April Fools are the achievements that are included in a patch

I believe the price cut as they've been aggressive with the game's price since launch.

It's amazing fun! Color pallet is just incredible. Makes beautiful screenshots too.

It's worth the $60 as you can easily get 40+ hours out of this game so for $40 this is an amazing deal.

Its true. Sunset Overdrive, Forza 5 Racing GOTY Edition, Ryse Legendary Edition and DR3 Apocalypse edition just became $39.99 on Xbox Live.

Should help sales quite a bit, I'd imagine. Looks like an incredibly fun game, so I hope more people pick it up.
