Forums - Gaming Discussion - April 2015 games - Wallet Recovery Month

What retail game are you getting this month?

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin 3 10.34%

Mortal Kombat X 3 10.34%

Omega Quintet 6 20.69%

Tropico 5 4 13.79%

Nothing interests me, I'll save my money! 13 44.83%

Total:29

By looking at the April 2015 release schedule (retail console games), it seems that most everybody's wallet will catch a breath, because the offering is so scarce and uninspiring. Basically, there is only one (1) brand new game available, along with a couple of ports and one localization...and that's it.

April 7 - Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin (PS4/XOne)

April 14 - Mortal Kombat X (PS4/XOne)

April 28 - Omega Quintet (PS4)

April 28 - Tropico 5 (PS4)

As far as I researched, no new WiiU games are scheduled.

Now, this is not much worse (or better) than April 2014, when all we got were LEGO The Hobbit, Final Fantasy XIV (PS4), Spiderman 2 (PS4) and Kinect Sports Rivals (XOne). I wonder what might be the reason, is April really such a terrible month for sales that nobody cares about releasing games then?

P.S. Before somebody mentions, I realize there is Xenoblade for 3DS, but I was only interested in home-consoles.

Nothing, i save money. I already have dark souls 2, so i won't buy this one (orfor 20 euros max), same for mortal kombat, i wait reviews, and will get it for low price.

The only game i will get this month is Etrian odyssey spin-off on Nintendo 3ds.

I would get Omega Quintet

I've always been interested in the Tropico games, wonder how they play with a controller?

I´m actually interested in MKX, however I´m still way too busy with Bloodborne (yeah I suck) and after that I want to finish Type-0.

Yup...RO friggin rocked

Nothing. I already bought Dark Souls 2 on PS3 and Mortal Kombat X is too expensive now.

I will probably get DSII somewhere down the line.

Tropico 5 and Omega Qunitet maybe once I have found out more about them

eh, not a great month for new releases. Good time to pick up older games that have dropped in price though

Not for me. I've been doing that since November and I can safely say my wallet has been drained. I'm really happy Batman and Witcher 3 aren't coming out this month or else I would have a problem.

I go on vacation for a week in the month and I still have Type 0 to finish after Bloodborne. And if I get around to it I will knock out P4G on the Vita. Almost glad none are coming out. More like backlog recovery month. FF X/X2, DA:I DLC, the Witcher 3 and Batman are right around the corner after that.

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Yeah, backlog recovery month. Though there's more than a few digital titles coming to PS4 in April, so not entirely out of the fire just yet.
