I'm well aware that some places already have prostitution legalized. Thing is, there's still a whole lot of the world on which prostitution is illegal.

Spanish elections are near, and one of the points raised was whether these new political parties should legalizate prostitution or not. I'm currently doing a research on the subject and, you know, why not ask you people. The more opinions on the matter, the merrier I'd say.

The points I'm trying to clear are:

· Whether it should be legal or not.

· Are prostitutes safer if their job was made legal?

· What changes would truly bring to the table if it was made legal?

You don't need to answer those, they're merely orientative. Alas, I'm only interested in if you would or would not, and if possible, the reasoning behind it.

I would make it legal just because I don't think it's much different from being a porn star and that's legal, lmao. It's not the government's place to tell someone what they can and can't be (unless they're a serial killer or whatever)

In Australia it's already legal but restricted in some ways.

I believe legal is safer and respects their right to chose what to do with their body.

I would also legalize all drugs and end the drug war.

prostitution will always be a thing and imo doesn't harm society in any way, so you might aswell make it legal and tax it like every other business

Much like drugs... Yes, they must pay taxes too. I pay vat taxes even when i buy bread, why should others spend lots of money in drugs and prostitutes and don't pay taxes. It could help solve the debt spain, the same in portugal. Tax their ass.

Yes. It's safer for everyone involved if it's regulated and the government gets a good bit of taxes from it. It can't be stopped with it being illegal, the least we could do is let it benefit the communities with taxes and it being regulated by it being legal.

I would, I'm from Canada where it is legal, but really why the hell not? how does throwing a camera infront of you having sex (like a porno) make it legal?

Of course it should be legalized, taxed and it would definitely make everything more safe.
