I don´t thint that Star Fox 64 was a very expensive game. It´s just a saga that doesn´t need the higest budget.

I think is going to be bigger than we think. Not an AAA game but bigger than Captain Toad.

Star Fox 64 was actually rather expansive (I assume that's what you meant) when you consider the times and technology.  Hell, it even made the Rumble Pack popular!

But is a shooter on rails that you can finish on 4 hours.

I mean,  it was not a chep game, but nothing as Mario, Zelda or Banjo. Imo.

If it's even on the scale of Pikmin 3 (meaning bigger than Captain Toad but smaller than Zelda) then I'll be very happy. Anything more than that would be a welcome surprise. I do think they'll try to push this game more now that Zelda isn't launching this year, but whether that means they're putting more resources into its development remains to be seen.

I think Xenoblade Chronicles X will be the big game this holiday.

I think XCX will be the "biggest" game this year in terms of epic size, but there's no denying that Star Fox has more IP selling power.

Nonetheless, I hope XCX sells 1+mil in short order, it will most likely deserve it!

so it can also be delayed to 2016 and nintendo will have nothing this year? no. me thinks not.

If it is a shooter on rails, I'm pretty sure a big team (50+) could complete a sub hd game in less than 2 years. If Nintendo is/was time constrained. I'm talking of something like Crimson Dragon.

Nintendo fans know Starfox is my favorite Nintendo character. Thats the only thing that made me peek in this topic.

If you want Starfox to launch in 2015 the budget will not be ramped up though. Thats unrealistic. Its too small of a frame of time. Starfox doesn't need to be a high budget game, it just needs to be fun. They can do it.

Yeah, I don't really see this game being that huge.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Hey, as long as the new Star Fox is anything like Star Fox Command's online gameplay, then we should be good for highly addictive dog-fighting. Add a bit of innovation and customization parts onto aircrafts or even perks, and game modes, then we should be good. It'll be so awesome to play Star Fox online again.

I hope it has voice acting, really loved the voice acting in starfox 64.

Given when Nintendo decides to reveal and release the game is all the difference. Nintendo hasn't built any hype for the game yet, but E3 should fix that problem. We've gotten Xenoblade X goodies all year as well so the hype is huge this year for that. Not to mention that NIntendo is marketing to their 3DS consumers to pick up Xenoblade for the 3DS in April, so the consumer base of Xenoblade X is only going to grow.

I understand from what I know right now is that Xenoblade X is the more promising game at the moment given the thoughts above. It all depends on the resources, new ideas, and marketing that all play a part in making a "successful" game in the videogame industry.
