Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So I picked up a New 3DS XL today

And I gotta say, wow!

Nintendo really fixed a lot of issues I had with the original

For one, the Super Stable 3D works great, I rarely had any issues with it

The C-Stick works amazingly as well, it caught every single one of my finger movements

Other nice stuff includes Amiibo support, faster loading speeds, increased ram and others

Also, I feel like some games have an upgrade in resolution, but maybe it's just me

So far a great system, my one only problem with it is how easy it attracts finger prints, buts that's just nitpicking

Congrats!

I'm sure the upgraded resolution is just you though..

Congrats!

Hope you enjoy.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Am I the only one who has issues with a flickering type effect with the super stable 3d? I never had this issue on my original 3ds ironically enough. I wonder if it's a flaw in my particular system or just the way my particular vision is?

How close are you holding the system to your face?

Th funny thing is that the 3DS still has so much more software potential ahead of itself lasting at least another two years(probably until the Wii U life cycle ends when the NX arrives), and that's just assuming that Nintendo will stop producing for the 3DS which is unlikely right off the bat.

Therefore, we're looking at at least 4 years of 3DS life, and hopefully lots more into the New 3DS to take advantage of bigger and better games that couldn't be done before (AHEM Xenoblade).

Glad you made one of the best gaming decisions :)

I still hope for a actual right stick. the c stick doesnt feel that good when you play hours of game like monster hunter.

And i am about to pick up my Story of Season at gamestop tomorrow, yeaaaaa~

Here's a C-stick tip, and really helps when you're playing C-stick-intense games like Ironfall, Majora's Mask, MH, etc..

Put a rubber band around the base of the 3DS so it covers the C-stick. It'll make it extra grippy and your thumb won't slip from the grease and sweat. The band just absorbs it and makes it feel so much better to use.

It'll look quirky for those who haven't heard of the tactic, but trust me, give it a shot. Play an hour with it on and tell me how you like it!

Edit: And honestly when you use the C-stick intensely, my thumb actually hurts after a while. With the rubber band, I haven't felt pain since.
