A few years ago I bought the soundtrack for The Last Story, after fully listening to one of the best soundtracks of anything ever I saw the it came with a free game called The Last Story which was ok.

Tonight I came to the realisation that Nintendo owns that series and they happen to have a lot of money so I figured, "Hey Iwata, what the hell man!?" why isn't there a second album of The Last Story? it's cool if they package it with another 50$ okeish game, but we need more of Uematsuss's's work outside of mobile phones and old Final Fantasty games.

So   I thought of this master plan, Nintendo offeres Sakaguchi one billion dollars and buys his crappy little studio, then they hire some other developers like Yu Suzuki (not like he's doing anything) and Milky Eiko and whatever and get them to make The Last Story 2, of The Terminal Story or The Eventual Story, whatever yjust get them to make more games, Nintendo fans will buy them as they'¿ve proben with Donkey Kong Freeze and Pikmon 3 and with Xenoblade soon enough.

That's money Iwata is leaving on the table.

The problem is that Nintendo took the wrong decision and chose to go with the other RPG franchise, namely Xenoblade.

A "The Last Story X" sort of game would have made me so happy, but instead, they're offering a Xenoblade Chronicles sequel :(

I agree with your post except for the part of buying the studio for 1 billion.. :P

If they are spending 1 billion dollars to buy a company who made a game that sold 640k on a console that has over 100 million sales... They may as well use that money to send all free hookers to wiiU owners instead cause that would be a more effective strategy imo!

I've been told by Nintendo fans that Nintendo has like 1 trillion dollars in some cave in Russia what will make them survive for like 400 years or something.

One billion shouldn't be a problem, and even to celebrate they could use another billion to get 1000 million dollar hookers or one billion dollar hooker.

The Last Story wasn't that great. Doesn't even compare with Xenoblade.

You mean the RPG that was a bigger critical and commercial success? I think Nintendo made the proper decision. Although I wouldn't mind seeing The Last Story 2 either.
