Negativity breeds more interest than positive. Nothing new over the horizon from that standpoint. Even so, I do wish there was an equal form of sympathy between both forms of stories as opposed to being one sided.

Nintendo has been doomed since the 90's.

Wii would sell over 200 million - damned right to label that prediction as delusional

Wii U will start to sell lots when [insert game here] releases - yes well, we've seen the result so far seems like pretty delusional stuff

3DS sales will be "saved" by N3DS, mobile is not affecting Nintendo handheld sales - 3DS will be lucky to sell 50% of DS, mobile IS demonstrably affecting the handheld market

Gamepad is an awesome controller and it will help Wii U to win the generation (said mostly before Wii U launched) - Tablets are not new or exciting any more, and it ramped up the cost, hence predictions of domination were delusional.

Wii U has power PC and some other secret sauce that means it is actually almost as powerful as PS4bone - Well that's just not true, and perhaps it hasn;'been said in quite this way, but there have been threads which have tried to claim that Spec gap between WIi U and PS4bone is less than what it actually is.

Nintendo first party games will mostly be of a very high calibre - generally agreed.

Nintendo should go mobile - well yes, and they are and hopefully it will be mostly beneficial. It's mostly Nintendo fans who are crying about this of course, other gamers are happy about it. So, perhaps it is Nintendo fans who denounced other gamers as delusional when hopes for Nintendo to go mobile have been raised.

Wii U can do 1080p 60fps - agreed, it can.

Many Wii U games look great - yep, they might not exactly have the visual fidelity of PS4bone games, but some of the game do look great and have compelling visual elements.

I dunno there's probably more that can be added to both lists. But my point is that for the most part things that Nintendo fans have been accused of being deusional about have mostly turned out to be pretty delusional. And there are plenty of good things that have been accepted as being good for Nintendo and Nintendo fans.

Yes, there are rabid haters (which applies to all consoles) who will try to find the negative in anything. But they are not representative of any fanbase and it's unfair to claim that all negative positions on Nintendo are unjustified and coming from rabid haters.

It's good to be self aware and be ready to criticise what you love when what you love does dumb things.

Dude we just want a Nintendo console with good hardware without any gimmicks like the Gamecube with also a good variety of games like the Gamecube: still no equivalent of Metroid Prime, 1080 Snowboarding, Luigis Mansion etc.
