So I recently downloaded patch 2.50 for PS4 and 3.50 for Vita, which allows you to increase the framerate of Remote Play to 60 fps (up from the standard 30 fps). I've been playing around with it over the weekend, and it's just great!
Unfortunately, most console games these days are 30 fps anyway, so the number of games that benefit from this at all are somewhat limited. But one game that gets a huge improvement from this framerate boost is Resogun.
Due to Resogun being a fast-paced shmup, I consider the game unplayable at 30 fps, which is why I don't recommend the PS3 or Vita versions of the game. But thanks to these new updates, playing Resogun on Vita with Remote Play is actually better than playing the Vita version natively! (This is also partly due to the PS3/Vita versions being un-updated and lacking the DLC from the PS4 version, but anyway...)
I now realize just how long I've been missing out on what Nvidia Shield users have had all this time... Maybe I should get one of those, too?
