Note: I'm not hating on Nintendo fans. I am trying to stand up for you.

Then your narative would be "get your shit together and release the games people want", not "maybe you should leave".

Yes, my title does seem a bit strong. I will change it.

You mean you jumped to conclusions based off of threads made by people jumping to conclusions?

No. I have read actual news articles as well as threads.

Oh, so you jumped a bridge to reach that conclusion?

Nintendo didn't leave behind core gamers with the Wii. Some core gamers simply couldn't embrace the fact that Wii was trying to appeal to a new demographic.

This.

The exodus of "core" gamers from Nintendo had already happened by the time Wii came out.

Wii Sports and Wii Fit didn't stop Nintendo making Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Xenoblade, Donkey Kong Counry Returns, etc.

While not everything you say is correct, I can agree with you that the Wii was horrible. And I'm not happy with Nintendo's direction either. (mobile games, already talking about new console, empty holiday 2015)

I'm not even a "nintendo faithful" and I think you're talking out of your ass to stir up the pot and get a rise out of Nintendo fans, as your threads generally seem to follow that profile, of "getting a rise" out of people, you paint them as "strong opinions" but in reality you just come across as a very transparent troll, as underlined several times by the third poll option of "Nintendo can do no. wrong."

I may well get a ban for this post, but eh, getting mighty tired of this sort of thread.

No friend, you have me wrong. I only hate on Xbox, not Nintendo. The only pot I want to stir is one that will make Nintendo make things right again. They need to directly compete with Sony and MS with the most powerful console in history and with strong 3rd party support, not come out with another weak system with gimmicks and cell phone games. That worked well for NES & SNES.

For comparison sake, how many Order threads were created?

Anyways, OP, I don't think Nintendo betrayed Nintendo fans. As others and I said in many times other threads, Zelda games often get delayed and Nintendo is relatively new with HD + Open world at the same time. And no, I don't think this game will be delayed for a multiplat release for the NX (which I am guessing is a handheld anyways)

A forum post on VGC worded the way you have done so will not in a million years change that, and is geared directly towards stiring the pot with end users, hence a poll.

All Nintendo needs to do is release games.

I'm glad that someone understands. I'm getting a lot of hate here.

The problem the other companies are not tasked with supporting two hardware platforms almost entirely on their own.

Nintendo can't just say "well sorry, we don't have content", they've made this bed now they have to lie in it.

Even Sony/MS really they base their business on having third party support drive their platforms, so it's not as big of a deal even if Uncharted is delayed.

COD/Madden/FIFA/Arkham/AC/etc. these franchises are to the PS/XB audience what Zelda is to Nintendo fans ... they're always getting a steady fill of content they want.

Nintendo fans though ... Wii U fans aren't happy. And neither are 3DS fans.

Wii U releases were already scarce. The delay of a single game changes nothing. It makes big waves because it's a big game, but it is still only one game.

I don't quite subscribe to the perspective that the hardware maker has an obligation to provide a steady stream of content. They have an obligation which they make themselves to provide content. They may provide it at whatever rate suits them. It's up to the consumer to buy the product when it appeals to them.

I bought a GameBoy Advance SP in 2011. I didn't get pissed at Nintendo for not releasing any new GBA games that year or any year since. The amount of GBA games they released during its lifetime guarantees that the system is a worthwhile investment forever. I've seen people complain about the Wii having few releases in 2011-2012. That system probably has the most expansive library in the history of video game consoles. We got our money's worth on that one. You would still get your money's worth if you bought it today.

Whether you buy a system at launch and get 1000 hours of entertainment from it over the course of 5 years or buy it long after it's retired and get those 1000 hours at your own leisure makes no difference. The value of the entertainment is the same. Play Zelda in 2015, play it in 2016.

If anyone here is dissatisfied with their Wii U, I will gladly take it off their hands. Won't cost you a dime, I'll even pay for shipping, and I'll make whatever pesky games you own for it disappear as well.

All Nintendo needs to do is release games.

Nintendo simply isn't capable of releasing 8-9 high end games + 5-6 more "filler" games between the Wii U and 3DS every year.

Not on post-XBox 360 hardware. No way.

No publisher is capable of that. But that's kinda the position Nintendo has forced themselves into and now that they can't deliver it, the fanbase is getting upset because there isn't much of anything else to play.
