Forums - Sales Discussion - Is This The Year Microsoft Throws In The Towel On Xbox?

After checking Amazon the last couple of weeks, I'm noticing another decline in sales of Xbox One. I don't see a system seller until holiday 2015. Maybe Quantum Break or a slight boost from Tomb Raider. Microsoft is pretty much put of options at this point. What can they do to turn this around if a discounted Halo bundle isn't in the top 50?

$99. that would do it.

A reason it has declined is because there are now 2 SKU's (Halo Bundle & AC Bundle).

I don't think they will. Sony and Nintendo have given Microsoft a golden opportunity to obtain a good cushion in the holiday season. In addition, with a great game like Ori and the Blind Forest to start things off, along with other titles like ScreamRide, Microsoft isn't ready to concede defeat yet.

>_> Nooooo....? They`ll not do as great as PS4, but the console is doing better than the Wii U, and it has games coming out. It`ll do better once more of their big games come out. It`s not great, but nothing to give up over.

If they do, can I sniff the towel?

PS4 had two SKU's. The Destiny bundle and normal. They were both in the top 10-15 for awhile.

The Halo bundle is 75. Neck and neck with NBA 2k15. You would think it would be selling better. I thought Halo bundle would surpass PS4 SKU for a month or so.

I say they "try" until the end of 2016 at the very least.

Throw in the towel now? No, they'll at least stick it out for the gen. Now if this is the beginning of overall loss of momentum then it is entirely likely they will not make another dedicated gaming console and use Xbox brand as just a marketing tool for their gaming sector.

XOne is still selling and doing well... I don't see why they'll give up on it so soon =.=
