Forums - Gaming Discussion - Reminder: Nintendo Is Always Delaying Major Zelda Games

Yeah. I think the doom is more in the fact that we've never had to wait this long for a proper Zelda game on console. This game will probably be arriving in Wii U's life the same time, Skyward sword/majora;s mask arrived on the Wii/N64.

And People will continue to panic no matter what... This zelda game is Nintendo's biggest Zelda game to date and they are new to HD so delays are obviously expected but apparently its doom and gloom

That's not a fair argument to make. Even though those games were delayed they still came out pretty early in the console's lifecycle. For example, Ocarina of Time had bad delays but still came out only 2 years after the N64. Twilight Princess was delayed but was a launch title for Wii.

It will be 4 years without a Zelda game for the Wii U. I think it's clear that this is an NX title now.

Where did you get 4 years from? It was released in Nov 2012. If you go by years that puts it at 3, if you take months into consideration it has been on the market for 2 years and 4 months.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

It's true, they do. I'm expecting something truly unique this time though. It better not be the same recycled plot they've used for the past two decades.

I remember being tortured by Nintendo magazines ten years ago with Twilight Princess and it's umpteen supposed release dates, and when it was finally released we essentially got a remake of Ocarina of Time.

Still, there's no reason to build everyone's hopes up and then let them down. It shouldn't have been announced, shown, or promised a 2015 release. Nintendo brought this backlash on themselves.

They should hold off on announcing until they have something substantial completed.

Exactly good man, it's like they try to one-up their competition by showing stuff that's nowhere near completion. Like Sony show Uncharted 4? We'll show Zelda.

This Zelda should have very good marketing boosting it's sales as 2016 Is Zelda's 30th Anniversary XD and Nintendo knows :)

lol, Lol, and LOL. Really? First of all we know nothing about "NX" aside that is a dedicated game machine. Is a handheld? We don't know. A Home Console?we don't know.  Or something else? We don't know. Is the Wii U remplacement? We don't know. Is coming next year? We don't know. How people can make such claim based on nothing! the delay is a good thing I felt like they were rushing the game, it took years for XCX to finallly be complete(JAPAN) and they have experience with big worlds. When this is release on "NX"  you can remind me about it :=)

It's no coincidence Nintendo is finally acknowledging the Wii U's failure when talking about the NX

Remind me when:
" When this is release on "NX"  you can remind me about it :=)"

Then you will be right. :)
